SM Character Design
At the invitation of SM publishers (Editora SM), I developed 20 personalized characters to illustrate their new "Geração Alpha" collection. The textbook collection is for elementary students, so we created fun and dynamic illustrations to match this profile. The idea was to design pre-teens full of personality and diversity. The first collection of illustrations was the development of 20 characters, from head to bust.

[PT-BR] A convite da editora SM, desenvolvi 20 personagens personalizados para ilustrar sua nova coleção da "Geração Alpha". A coleção de livros didáticos é destinada aos alunos do ensino fundamental, então criamos ilustrações divertidas e dinâmicas para atender a esse perfil. A ideia era desenhar pré-adolescentes cheios de personalidade e diversidade. A primeira coleção de ilustrações contou com o desenvolvimento de 20 personagens, da cabeça ao busto.
The busts turned out very nice, so we created full-body characters from them. Everyone is walking so they can follow the summary and contents of the books. This time, we also increased the color palette with skin tones and green shades.
[PT-BR] Os bustos ficaram bem legais, então criamos também personagens de corpo inteiro a partir deles. Todos estão andando para que eles acompanhem o sumário e conteúdos dos livros. Desta vez, também acrescentamos à paleta de cores tons de pele e tons de verde para complementar.
To close the collection, we also created three compositions with the characters developed before. They're interacting with different shapes - that will be filled with different texts from the publisher.
